  MISSION: To contribute to the development of communities and groups that are creative, critical, self-sustaining and actively involved in addressing development issues through the use of traditional and contemporary art forms and cultural expressions as vehicles for change.  PARANUBLIUN’S VISION, MISSION, GOALS

            VISION:    PARANUBLIUN-ANTIQUE envisions a community of Antiquenos who are free, culturally aware and assertive, politically empowered, self-sustaining, pro-nation, ecologically conscious, gender-fair.

             MISSION:  To contribute to the development of communities and groups that are creative, critical, self-sustaining and actively involved in addressing development issues through the use of traditional and contemporary art forms and cultural expressions as vehicles for change.

                GOALS:   To enhance, promote and advance kinaray-a cultural forms and expressions that address development constraints and problems in antique; and to build and /or strengthen community-based groups for self-expression and to address and advocate development concerns through the use of popular cultural forms.

ACTIVITIES AND METHODOLOGY

1.      ORGANIZING:

Organizing is building and /or strengthening cultural catalysts groups for sustainable, relevant, participatory, gender-fair, community-based cultural actions.

Organizing is also harnessing artists, crafts for self-expressions and addressing development concerns.

Organizing is activating communities; cultural groups artist/art organizations towards inter-barangay, inter-cultural orchestration network

            1. EDUCATION AND TRAININGS:

Basically, there are three types of trainings: basic, advanced, and/or specialized geared towards orientational, organizational and artistic capability building of cultural catalysts and performing groups.

Trainings are art form-specific (ex. Poetry writing workshop) or multi-media (ex. Basic Integrated Theatre Arts Workshop) which are usually group-focused, and inter-barangay in composition or specifically for one barangay.

Trainings are either formal (ex. Seminar, conference workshop) or non-formal; through direct coaching’s in the field and on the job interventions during special projects/production mounting/cultural events.

Trainings are geared towards developing the ATORM (artist, teacher, organizer, researcher, manager) K.S.A. (knowledge, skills, attitudes) of cultural groups. Cultural catalysts and cultural workers.

 2.      RESEACH AND PUBLICATION:

To collect and record indigenous art and expressions, thus (cultural) researches by PARANUBLIUN and/or community groups for production materials and data bank.

Social investigation (SI)/ immersion usually prelude and is necessary for production mounting or organizing cultural events asto make these relevant and meaningful.

Results of researches, contest are produced in popular forms and/or monographs (ex. Pagbasa kag Pagkolor, a reading and coloring book on the winning kinaray-a nursery rhymes).

 3.      SPECIAL PROJECTS:

Special projects are cultural production-geared activities riding on international, national or provincial celebrations to project local cultural heritage, issues and concerns.

Ex. Kinaray-a writing contest during the women’s month (March)

“Hantik! Hantik! Folk Arts Festival” during the three-day provincial festival called BINIRAYAN.Cultural info packages on HIV-AIDS (December), Environment (April or June).Special projects are also venues for training budding young artist to become Cultural workers as well.
