To love another has become taboo
What if...., the if stood out, daunting

Warm and ardent, always thinking of you
You went out of the way to force me
Hate you and leave you alone for good
Leave you alone I did, hate you, I could not
Even your assurance of never loving me
If I am the last man left, no deterrent

Not even letting me know if you care

Skillfully you veil your true feelings
Me, I am not skilful and I ache
