When I See You
When I see you,
I see the writing on the wall,
My hands are tied,
Ready for the fall,
When I’m near you,
I surrender to it all,
Become someone,
I don’t know.
At the moment,
The dark cloud breaks,
In the silence,
My soul slumbers awake,
Sensitivity,
Rocks the world till it quakes,
And I feel the earth,
Slipping through my fingers.
And here I go again,
Wanted to see you,
So hard to walk away,
But I can’t stay,
And here I go again,
All for the dreams of the brave,
Wishing you’d feel better,
And I’d feel better today.
