BEFORE I SAY GOODBYE TONIGHT

By: Reynaldo Dela Peņa

Before I say goodbye to my dear tonight, and watch the gloomy window outside, with few twinkling star around the sky, as flaming gems hang and stitched in the night.

Before I say goodbye to my dear tonight, I peer to the samll light to search the waery soul, and see how deep his footprints marks in the ground, and filled it silently with tears of the wounded heart.

Before I say goodbye to my dear tonight, I see how my garden slowly turns to gray, smell an angel's fragrant of my roses, and a touch of fingertips that sees where the thorns lay.

Before I say goodbye to my dear tonight, I know, am surely know.... As I watch this arm with flowing blood that has been cut by a sharp blade of the anger self, Tomorrow my deep sleeps wakens by the morning light.
