HAMOG "morning dew" NEW CLUB @ SAC

EDITORS NOTE:

It was after Arte San Antonio 2004 competition that the most visible of SAC student’s growing awareness towards arts expression. This is true from the facts that most students are trying to weight their selves which art club they are more incline as they wishes to join the SALIDA 2004 show. But for the young painters or other visual artists and even those with passion in art could not find a home to grow on self-expression with a proper guidance and techniques.  They are even more confused wither they had possessed with a hand to paint on a canvass, only for drawing or don’t have this skills even with their hearts have desire to try pencil on papers. My fellow colleagues approaches me many times asking,  “when will the Wednesday art session that the previous year had had be back for this school year?”. And simply I respond, “just wait for it, soon it will be open again as long as I have lots of free time”.

Now their little wishes came through when Nestor Cancan an artist, posted an announcement for those interested visual artists to attend on the meeting. “Wow!”  We had gathered more than 35… even good to be a normal size for classroom instruction. I asked my self what to do with this big amount, but as we go along with our discussion the more I was encourage to take steps toward what they wishes to learn. I introduced to them what topics will I give: artists portfolios, documentary and critics, figures/portrait, contemporary painting II, and I etc. that I feel much competent and exposed from books and documents in various research center during my free time and seminars. Even the experience I had encounter with Boholanos artists during my vacation in Tagbilaran on 2000 could be a big benefits for them.

Here, my fellow colleagues I congratulate you for joining HAMOG, the first Artist of society for visual art in SAC Engineering Department. I’m Proud of you! I even wish to share this to other department.
