My True Friend

I never knew my real friends are
Till I stumble and fall
No one dared to look back and held my hand
And they leave me all

As I was crying alone in the dark
I felt a loving hand gently placed on my shoulders
This hand was ready to help fade my tears
And to wipe away all my fears

This friend of mine
I never knew her ever since
I never saw her, I’m like a blind
But she became my true friend

We hardly knew each other
We hardly talked and laughed at each other’s joke
And had no time to bother
But she was there when my heart broke

I sometimes thought she was an angel in disguise
That god has sent to love and care for me
To understand me, to help me wise
When no one else around could ever be

She helped me stand up again
Upon falling down upon the ground
She told me how I am weak I had been
And no courage to face the bound

She helped me renew my strength
She taught me courage and how to be brave
Never surrender in life’s trials
And face bravely the grave

She became my guide until then
Never has she left me in the rain
She always held my hand in crossing the darkness
And helped me ease my pains

She is God’s given to me
A friend as wonderful as could be
No one can replace her in my heart and soul
Coz forever she will stay as a whole
