LONGING          


We sit beside each other-
Your warm hands
Clasping mine, melt
ing My lonely, frozen heart, illuminating
My dim world with the gleam
Of your eyes.

I ask for truth. You give me
Parables and wings instead
That I may seek for it better
Beyond myself- I am
Totally free.

I stand tall, I walk
Straight. I journey with you.
We tour in a paradise I always long for.
I wish it were not a dream.

But my whole being
Aches in despair and longing;
All still have to be
Tomorrow.
