Candle          


You helped me stand
And caressed
My stiffness,
With glaring beauty you
Lighted the wick
Of my passions.

I wished that my
Radiance would
Guide us in our paths,
But the daring splendor of others
Conquered my being.
Left in your negligence,
I succumbed to the north wind.

Now. All alone
In the darkness of longing
Hoping that tears would fade
As the warmth you left
Finally…turns cold.
