ROSE          


i am the rose yearning to grow
in the garden of your passions:

let your blood be the nectar
of my blossoms; inviting
every bird and butterfly
of truth.

make your sweat a rain
quenching my thirst
for beauty; reviving
my leaves of hope
wearied by strife,

and your breath,
the chanting wind
caressing my thorned body
as we dance together
with the smiling sun.
